Application: The Dosimeter Readout is used in conjunction with a RADFET to determine the accumulated dose during space missions.
Related parts:
- RADFETs. MOSFET transistor designed for radiation detection. The Dosimeter Readout can be used with most RADFETs.
- PnP Dosimeter. Plug-and-Play dosimeter based on the Dosimeter Readout and Air Force protocols and form factors. Used in PnP satellites to radically shorten satellite assembly times.

Output signal as a function of dose.
Key features:
- Two operating modes - low and high sensitivity. In low sensitivity mode, chip can be un-powered and still accumulate dose.
- All readout circuitry (RADFET drive current, buffer amplifier, gate bias) is on the chip. Monolithic design improves signal to noise ratio and reduces part count.
- Output signal range and offset can be scaled via external resistors.
- Built-in temperature monitor.
- Available as play-and-play instrument that meets the AFRL Space Plug-and-Play Avionics (SPA) standards.
- Rad hard.

The Dosimeter Readout is offered in a 14-pin ceramic package. Size is .225"x.225"x.06".
Benefits:
- Extremely compact. Makes it easy to integrate a dosimeter with satellite payload or electronics.
Status: The Dosimeter Readout has been fabricated and tested electrically and with radiation. Additional tests are planned in late 2009 and early 2010.
Available for purchase:
Subject to ITAR control: Yes
