Micro-Con, 14-bit ADCs

Micro-Con is a suite of ultra low power, 14-bit, analog to digital (A/D) converters with on-chip digital calibration. These A/D converters were designed for on-chip implementation in sensor readouts and were optimized for operation at both cryogenic and room temperatures. NT/Micro-Con/01 is offered as a quad. Power consumption @ 10 MSPS is 7 mW/channel, < 1/3 the power consumption of similar commercial parts.

NT/Micro-Con/01 quad A/D converter.

NT/Micro-Con/01 features two ultra low power LVDs drivers and has an on-chip sample-and-hold (S/H) buffer with adjustable gain.  It has 3 V front end supplies and 1.8 V core supplies. A hard macro in GDS II is offered as a drop-in circuit block for on-chip implementation. A rad-hard A/D converter with similar performance is under development.

Typical implementation. Number of NT/Micro-Con/01 quads used will depend on detector size and imager speed.
