Nu-Trek has a strong modeling capability that spans most areas of Applied Physics. We have over 100 in house codes as well a few tens of commercially available software packages. Nu-Trek has a “layered” approach to modeling. We will intially use a “fast” code to scope the technical parameters and scan for issues. We will then follow up with more specialized and complex codes, if needed. This approach is both comprehensive and economical, as all aspects of a design are modeled and time consuming, expensive computations are performed only if needed.

Nu-Trek also has a number of probabilistic ( Monte Carlo) codes that are used for radiation transport, ray tracing, and mirror design computations. The results of these codes are checked for self-consistency against analytical codes. The analytical codes are also used for in-depth studies of specific geometries. These computations are frequently used in the design of radiation diagnostics and in support of effects testing.
