| EUV and Soft X-ray mirrors are usually multiplayer or grazing Incidence. Typical applications include:
- X-ray telescopes, X-ray microscopes, and other imaging diagnostics
- EUV and soft X-ray spectrometers
- Focusing optics
- Filters for high energy phonon rejection
The figures below compare the reflectivity of a Multilayer mirror with that of a grazing incidence mirror. If you would like to use a specific wavelength, the multilayer mirror is preferred. If you are interested in using a significant portion of the available spectrum, a grazing incidence mirror is preferred.
